Brooklyn Batman IS Mothman ~ Over 100 years ago, a man named W. H. Smith told the New York Sun that he saw a "winged human form" flying over Brooklyn, New York on September 18, 1877. Just about three years later, there were multiple reports from Coney Island, Brooklyn, of a man with bat-like wings and improved frog-legs  flying overhead at approximately 1,000 feet. The man was flying toward the New Jersey coast, witnesses told the New York Times, and that he bore a "cruel and determined expression" on his face.  Mothman is known to have powerful looking, weight lifter like legs. Since it is not a "man" at all but insect like in the facial region yes it could very well look "cruel and determined" in its expression.

Russian Legend IS Mothman ~ This is not the only legend of a flying man in the Soviet Union, but not quite like the one described above. Hunters around the Sikhote Mountains near Vladivostok said that they came across prints of a barefoot human that ended abruptly, as if he had taken off into the air. Such a creature was actually seen by writer V.K. Arsenyev on July, 11th, 1908 in those same Sikhote Mountains near Vladivostok in the far eastern region of what would be the USSR: "The rain stopped, the temperature of the air remained low and a mist appeared over the water. It was then that I saw the mark on the path that was very similar to a man's footprint. My dog Alpha bristled up, snarled, and then something rushed about nearby trampling among the bushes, then something rushed about nearby trampling among the bushes. However, it didn't go away, but stopped nearby, standing stock-still. We had been standing like that for some minutes.... Then I stooped, picked up a stone and threw it towards the unknown animal.
     Then something happened that was quite unexpected: I heard the beating of wings. Something large and dark emerged from the fog and flew over the river. A moment later it disappeared in the dense mist. My dog, badly frightened, pressed itself to my feet."  A Mothman out in the world. In this instance not there to warn anyone of anything. This person, at least in the little of this story that we have here, did not describe the thing as a man. Skeptics would likely say this was a large bird but a hunter would know a bird from a large dark "thing".

Man-Dragon IS Mothman ~ The events surrounding this creature's first appearance began in 1926, somewhere in the south-eastern foothills of China, near the region where one of the largest dams the world had ever known (second largest in China), the Xiaon Te Dam was located. Almost overnight rumors began to spread in the farming communities beneath the Xiaon Te regarding a huge, black, "Man-Dragon", which had frightened several people, and was seen hovering above the dam.
     On the afternoon of January 19, 1926, the Xiaon Te Dam collapsed sending over 40 billion gallons of water rushing onto the unwitting farmers below. Entire villages were destroyed beneath the impact of the torrential, man-made deluge, which resulted in a horrific death toll of over 15,000. Although most records of the disaster were destroyed by the incumbent communist regime, many survivors of the calamity confirmed that the Man-Dragon showed itself not only at the doomed structure, but to many of it's so-called "victims" as well.  One method Mothman can use to achieve their aim is to "dramatically get the attention of the people and then point out the problem/challenge by placing yourself right on top of it. How is it that Mothman can be so well informed? Consider it in the light of the psychic powers some humans are able to demonstrate. Might not other Beings be able to use these faculties too?

Location. Selma Alabama  Date: Summer 1948  Time: evening      One of the largest families in town was having their annual reunion when one family member looked up and saw a giant bird-like creature land next to a tree. Looking closer he saw that the bird had human form. Others gathered around and watched the creature. It appeared more human than animal and just stared at the group with gleaming red eyes. As more people gathered around it suddenly flew off without flapping its wings. HC addition # 2940   Source: Ron Schaffner Mothman – The south was becoming more industrialized at the time and with these new machines and processes and industries Mothman was around and looking into the safety aspects of such endeavors. He had just stopped to survey this area and the people that happened to be there.

Location. Near Grassy Butte Oregon  Date: September 18 1948  Time: before dawn
Fred Scott, 63, walking from Antelope to Rome Oregon, was walking around Grassy Mountain just before dawn when he looked up and saw 2 "flying persons" to the south of him. They were 150-250 ft up, one following the other at a distance of 8-10 ft, flying west to east. Their wings, which were narrow & rounded at the tip, did not flap. Their legs were unusually short, almost as if cut off at the knees. One of them if we were talking about our kids would be a pre-teen and the other a young adult. The youngest one is being "trained" in sensing the terrain and area as he slowly flies over it. The older one is still perfecting his skills prior to taking on the adult mission.

Brazilian Birdmen ARE Mothmen ~ In the early 1950s, a couple was taking an evening stroll near their home by the sea at Pelotas, Brazil. When two fast-moving shadows crossed their path, they looked up to see what they at first thought were two enormous birds flying about 30 feet above the ground. It was soon evident to the couple that these were not birds at all when the two flying creatures descended vertically and landed not far away. It was then clear that they looked like men, standing about six feet tall. Discovering they were being watched by the couple, the two "birdmen" squatted close to the ground, as if trying to hide. The female half of the couple convinced her husband they should leave - and quickly.  Mothman ~ The couple doesn't mention in the report we have here whether or not they ever saw feathers,  faces or beaks (if they were "bird" men) nor does it say if they were ever seen to fly away. The "birdmen" descended vertically and landed near the couple yet the couple does not mention hearing flapping of wings. Maybe the sound of the wings as they came down was overlooked, maybe there was no sound. What does it mean if it was that there was no sound? Some kind of controlled levitaional landing perhaps. Ahh, the power of a mind. It's greater than we've known and we aren't the only ones with an able intelligence.

Japan's Flying Man IS Mothman ~ In 1952 U.S. Air Force Pvt. Sinclair Taylor, on guard duty at Camp Okubo, Kyoto, Japan, said he heard a loud flapping noise. Looking up, he saw an enormous "bird" in the moonlight. When it approached, he got frightened and put a round into the chamber of his carbine. The "bird" now stopped its flight and was hovering not far away, staring at the soldier. "The thing, which now had started slowly to descend again, had the body of a man," Taylor recalled. "It was well over seven feet from head to feet, and its wingspread was almost equal to its height. I started to fire and emptied my carbine where the thing hit the ground. But when I looked up to see if my bullets had found home there was nothing there." When the sergeant of the guard came to investigate and heard the story, he told Taylor that he believed him because a year earlier another guard had seen the same thing.  Mothman ~ A thing unfamiliar is rendered as long as we can in familiar terms, here, "a bird". This encounter shows us just how fast one can move when one puts ones mind to it. Gone in an instant. No blood or wounds to the Being reported. Interesting. Reading about other stories of a seeming miraculous nature on this site it is easy to see that humans too have been able to perform these very same kinds of feats. These speak to our own possibilities, yours and mine. Believe and you can achieve.

Texas Batman IS Mothman ~ On June 18, 1953 in Houston, Texas, three people were enjoying a hot summer night on their front porch. The night turned unbelievably strange when they saw a winged creature alight in a nearby pecan tree. It was, they said, "the figure of a man with wings like a bat. He was dressed in gray or black tight-fitting clothes. He stood there for about thirty seconds, swaying on the branch of the old pecan tree." They further described him as wearing a cape and quarter-length boots. Most oddly, one witness claimed he was enveloped in a "halo of light."  Mothman ~ It is typical for witnesses who don't have a proper framework to an experience to put it into terms they can work with thus things in the description such as "tight fitting clothes", a "cape" and "quarter length boots". To some folks way to thinking if a perceived "man", standing on a tree limb or not has to be wearing clothes. A naked man with wings in their conscious mind just won't do. It would be nice to know more about this story.

A huge shadow crossed the lawn; looking up into a pecan tree, Mrs. Hilda Walker and Judy Mayer, 14, saw a man 6.5 ft tall with wings like a bat, dressed in gray or black tight fitting clothes and surrounded by a glow of yellow light. After 30 seconds, the light died out, and Judy screamed. There was a loud "swoosh," and a white flash like a torpedo shaped object over the housetops across the street. Road Weary Travelers Encounter MothMan ~ This takes place in 1960 or 61. Standing in the middle of the road, ahead of a woman driving her father along Route 2 in the Chief Cornstalk Hunting Grounds of West Virginia (USA), was a definite man shaped figure. As they got closer, the driver slowed the car. The two apprehensive witnesses saw that this grey figure was much larger than a man. The driver reported that what happened next was that a pair of wings unfolded from its back and as they did so they nearly filled the whole road.  Then it took off straight up, disappearing out of sight in seconds. "We were both. terrified. I stepped on the gas and raced out of there. We talked it over and decided not to tell anybody about it. Who would believe us anyway?"  Mothman ~ No flapping of wings mentioned here and it seems it move otherworldly quickly when it left. That is, faster than flapping wings and conventional physics could have provided or accounted for. Another force then is at work. The force of conscious will and intent. The same forces you and I need to harness to fly just like the yogi's etcetera could do. What prevents us are our limiting beliefs. Something we have have power over and can change readily.

Night watchman Jose Padron was on duty when he saw an enormous shape heading towards him, taking prodigious strides. The huge being had wings that Padron compared to that of a small airplane. The creature's claws apparently made an unusual sound as it tried to take flight. Terrified, Padron ran back to the shack, cowering fearfully inside until daybreak. Huge footprints were found the next day next to the shack. This creature returned the next night along with a similar creature. The guard thought the creatures were headed toward the nearby San Miguelito Mountains. The ground appeared to tremble as the creatures flew off. Inspection of the area did not yield any samples of hair nor feathers. Location. Near Ellenview New York   Date: May 1968  Time: night
Looking out his rearview mirror Art Finkelstein noticed a bizarre creature that appeared to be flying at a low altitude above the lonely and deserted road. It was apparently following the witness's truck. Stunned, Finkelstein almost lost control of his truck. He described the creature as about 5 ft tall, with wings that had about a 5 ft span on each side. According to witness the creature seemed intelligent and menacing. It had large bright penetrating eyes. It followed its truck for about a mile and then disappeared into the darkness.  Source: Jorge Martin, Conspiracion Chupacabras  Mothman – Spirit uses whatever is in the area sometimes to achieve an aim. In this case, Mothman was used to divert his attention, otherwise he would have put himself in a dangerous situation.

The same couple of a previous encounter saw a "giant winged being" that flew directly over them. The couple noticed that this particular creature appeared to have some sort of difficulty with its right wing, which was kept rigid and several degrees below the left one. (It had a 15 to 20 foot wingspan). The flying creature appeared to take notice of the two humans, and fixed its gaze on them as it flew away. Location. Barrio del Carmen, Valencia Spain  Date: November 1968   Time: morning
The six-year old witness was playing up on the roof in a terrace when he noticed perched very close to him on a ledge, a strange winged creature that seemed to be looking around for something. Curious the witness slowly approached the creature, and noticed that it was large, larger than an eagle, with bat like wings; with its back turned to the witness it appeared to lack any type of feathers. Apparently hearing the approach of the witness, the creature suddenly turned to look at him. Stunned the witness noticed that the creature had a semi human face, and its body was human like also and it was perched on a pair of feet that ended in claws. In a second the creature jumped up into the sky slowly spread its wings and flew away in a slow graceful manner quickly disappearing from sight. HC addition # 3660  Source: Bitacora

Four men were in a farm when they heard a peculiar rushing sound coming from near a small lake. Grabbing flashlights they set out to investigate taking a couple of dogs with them. Suddenly the dogs howled and ran away. The men then noticed standing by a tree a huge dark man like figure with wing like protrusions and large red orange eyes. Fantasy Flier IS a Mothwoman ~ Another soldier's tale of a flying humanoid came to ufologist Don Worley from Earl Morrison, who served with the First Marine Division in Vietnam . While stationed near Da Nang in August 1969, he and two other guards reportedly saw an extraordinary sight just after 1 am in the morning. They were sitting atop a bunker talking when they noticed something approaching them in the sky. Morrison told Worley: "We saw what looked like wings, like a bat's, only it was gigantic compared to what a regular bat would be.
     After it got close enough so we could see what it was, it looked like a woman. A naked woman. She was black. Her skin was black, her body was black, the wings were black, everything was black but, it glowed. It glowed in the night and had a kind of greenish cast to it.... She started going over us, and we still didn't hear anything. She was right above us, and when she got over the top of our heads, she was maybe six or seven feet up.... We watched her go straight over the top of us, and still she didn't make any noise flapping her wings. She blotted out the moon once, that's how close she was to us.
     It was dark and pitch black out, but we could still define her because she just glowed. Real bright like. She started going past us straight towards our encampment. As we watched her she had gotten about 10 feet or so away from us when we started hearing her wings flap. It sounded, you know, like regular wings flapping. She just started flying off and we watched her for quite a while. Morrison thought the covering on her skin was more like fur than feathers. "The skin of her wings looked like it was molded on to her hands," he said, and the movement of her arms suggested they had no bones in them. We don't know if her appearance made a difference in some disaster being averted. While that is possible, it is also possible she was doing some kind of  reconnaissance of the area herself. They don't mention if "she" had a head let alone a face so we can presume that her gender was obvious due to the attributes of the rest of her body.
     In this case the Mothwoman did flap her wings though I get the sense while reading it that from the witnesses description of its maneuvers that it was not held aloft or propelled solely by those wings. In other words it moves by the will of its consciousness. This is how they can also disappear in the blink of an eye when they want to.
      This seeming solid physical world of ours is not so "real" and "solid" and "set" in the current physics were used to, as we have been lead to believe. The possibilities of our life and circumstances are expanding as we learn more about the alternative realities we can perceive and act within. Personal human flight IS possible! No, more than that, it has been done before, and just with the power of the mind. I don't mean done before as like two or three times, I do mean thousands of times before. When World Upliftment achieves verified liftoff it won't be something new. It will be the reclamation of our inherent true abilities.

Independent witnesses encountered what was described as a fearsome winged gargoyle-like creature that at one time was seen perched on a tree and was later seen perched on a roof of a house. It had huge gray wings and was able to glide silently without flapping its wings. It was taller than a man and had a very wide upper torso. It also has a 15 ft wingspan and dwarfed a nearby eucalyptus tree as it flew over it.  HC addition # 2385

Giant Bird Sighting ~ by Greg D. ~  In January, 1976 I was 10. I lived in Houston Texas (still do), and it had just gotten dark. A large storm was blowing in, but it was not raining yet. I was striking a match and a very large bird-like creature landed silently about six feet from me. It was at least eight feet tall, had large, glowing red eyes, and a wingspan of about 20 feet. I was incredibly scared. I seemed frozen for a second that seemed an eternity. Just then, my dog Mutt ran at the thing barking furiously. That broke the spell and I screamed and jumped on top of my father's car right behind me. The giant bird (I think it had feathers) then flew off as silently as it had arrived. I continued to scream until my father came out. He found strange prints in the ground, but found my story hard to believe. The rain had partially obscured the tracks by then. I certainly wasn't going to try to report this as no one would believe it. But it happened just as have put down here, and I really don't care if others believe. Location. Near Panguitch, Utah  Date: Summer 1976  Time: 2300
Driving north on State Road 89 through within the Dixie National Forest in a lightly forested area the witnesses were driving with their high beams on when they partially picked up what they described as a half-man-half-bird creature standing in the middle of a clearing containing no visible trees. The creature stood about 70 feet away. They described it as about 5-½ ft tall to 6 ft tall, it had large eyes that did not glow or produce any color, a large head and no visible neck. It had wings that were either folded or attached to the front itself. There were visible feathers and the skin looked liked weathered human looking skin with dark or dirty spots on it. It had a wide body that seemed to accommodate its wings. The driver slowed the car as they drove by the creature. They turned around but failed to see the creature again.  Source: Utah UFO Hunters  An older mature Mothman chose to show himself to these people for some unknown reason. Feels like this Mothman is about to exit this life. It is feeling peace and detachment. This may be the last time any of you humans see me.

Location. Harpers Ferry, West Virginia   Date: November 1976  Time: afternoon
The 15-year old witness (involved in a previous bizarre encounter in 1967) was on his way home riding his school bus. The bus was moving on a steep road at a slow pace and he was gazing out the window when he saw what at first he thought was a man sitting on a large branch of a tree. As the bus got closer, he realized that it was not human. He was seeing a figure with wings on its back, sitting on a horizontal branch, with its back against the trunk, and its legs resting on the branch. It was the size of a man, but was very dark in appearance; the wings were folded back behind it. Mothman as Human Protector ~ The Freiburg Shrieker - A unique point about this case is that the creature in question did not torment the witnesses, but, in all probability, saved 21 lives.
     On September 10th 1978, at a coal mine in Freiburg Germany. Employees of a coal mine were astounded to find the entrance to the mine shaft blocked by a mysterious terrifying black figure with huge outstretched wings.
     Several of the men thinking it might just be an apparition tried to approach the creature and enter the mine, they were however, forced to beat a hasty retreat when the creature let out a series of unbearable piercing shrieks "like 50 people screaming" or "the brakes of a train."
     After an hour or so of waiting, the befuddled men began busying themselves with cleanup outside the mine, all the while hoping that the creature would go away. Then at approximately 8 a.m., the ground beneath them shuddered with the tremendous force of a gigantic, subterranean explosion.
     When the men returned to the mine shaft they discovered that the Shrieker was gone, replaced by a huge column of smoke and flame, which spewed from the entrance of the mine. Such conflagration, had the men been in the mine, would have killed them all. Two of the twenty-one miners dedicated themselves to revealing what happened, to the rest of the world. Mothman ~ They are not limited to just warning us. As this case shows us, they can at least on occasion, actively help prevent disasters. We don't know how often they take this more pro-active stance. That is something to look into more. What senses are these Beings using such that they know what is going to happen ahead of time like this? Clairvoyance, yes, if we but allowed ourselves greater faith and belief in this and other of our natural human psychic abilities then yes, we would know not to go down that coal mine and we would not need Spirits helper to intercede. They, the mothmen and women could then perhaps create another purpose in Being.

Location. Near St Louis Missouri  Date: July 1980  Time: 2300
Hearing his old Border collie barking and whining at something in the melon patch behind the barn, Joe Pierce set out with a flashlight to investigate the disturbance. As he turned the corner of the barn, he nearly stumbled over his dog, which was cowering and shivering next to the building. Thinking that the dog had been hurt, he knelt briefly beside his dog, checked quickly for any injury then stood up and directed the beam of the flashlight toward the sounds of movement in the melon patch. At fist he saw a figure that he thought was a man with a blanked wrapped around him, bending over and chomping into a melon. Pierce yelled at the figure and it suddenly stood up revealing itself to be a tall man-like creature with dark wings that had been folded around his torso. As he stretched itself to his full height of well over six feet, each wing unfolded to a width of what appeared to be seven to eight ft---at least fourteen feet from one wing tip to the other. The terrified witness dropped the flashlight and slid down to the ground. The humanoid then emitted a terrible screeching sound, then lifted off into the night sky. The St. Louis Arch was found to need reinforcement about this time. The work did get done.

Black Bird of Chernobyl IS Mothman ~ Beginning in April of 1986, a rumor tore through the ranks of what was then a little known nuclear power plant located in Chernobyl in the southern part of the Ukraine. In the days preceding the tragic meltdown, four Chernobyl employees had reported seeing what they claimed was a large, dark, headless man with gigantic wings and fiery-red eyes.
     These Chernobyl employees began to share unsettling and strangely similar experiences from horrifying nightmares to threatening phone calls. Some of these employees even mentioned their bizarre experiences to their superiors at the facility. With no "evidence" or clear indication of what may be going on those officials could do nothing.
     During a routine test of Reactor 4 on April 26, 1986 the Chernobyl nuclear power plant had a massive explosion. Thirty people died that morning. Ten more died due to radiation exposure. The reactors graphite continued to burn for the next 9 days and this resulted in tremendous environmental damage and an untold number of radiation casualties over the next two decades.
     Some of the surviving workers claimed to have witnessed what they described as a "20-foot bird" gliding through the undulating tentacles of irradiated smoke, which continued to rise from the reactor. Mothman ~ Yes, Mothman does make house calls. They use many means to communicate to us. This is not the only case that has involved telephones. They are able to communicate telepathically with us should we be listening or open. They are also able to project that telepathic voice into a phone that someone picks up.

In a remote area, three young men out hunting saw a giant dark gray winged man-like creature flying towards them at a low altitude, it had bat-like wings with finger like projections, sharp claws and a long beak resembling a cross between a man and a pterodactyl. The man without realizing it, mixed myth with what he actually saw and came up with the confusing description.

Off Duty Albino Mothman ~ January 14 1998  Location: Lajas, Puerto Rico 5:30 am.  An employee of a cattle ranch belonging to the University of Puerto Rico, Carlos David Vargas Montalvo, was setting about his usual morning chores of rounding up the cows from the feeding lot. As usual usual and without any apparent fright, the animals responded to his call and lined up except, for what he thought was one white cow that remained back in the field without moving.
     Curious he called the "cow" again but there was no response, he decided to walk over thinking that the animal could be hurt or sick. As he approached the white form on the ground he kept calling it. Suddenly the supposed cow began to twist and turn on the ground and took out two huge white wings, at this point the stunned Montalvo realized that it was not a cow but a bizarre winged bird-like creature, totally white in color. Stunned, the witness watched the creature rise up on its wings and disappear quickly towards nearby Laguna Cartagena. A heart patient, Montalvo was in shock for the next several hours.  Neida Rios, my mate and the in house psychic for this website says that this Mothman came upon this nice, though unfamiliar location to settle down in for a bit when it was surprised by the man out doing his chores. Ooops, time to go!

I Saw Mothman ~ Location: Fort Gay, West Virginia. Date: Nov. 1998 Time: About 11:00 pm You will never believe what I saw one very cold, dry November night. My family and I moved into a new house upon a hill on a little back road, in the very small town of Fort Gay West Virginia. Fort Gay sits right on the east side of Kentucky. The population of my town then was probably just a couple thousand. My family and I were unpacking. We had not yet put the furniture in its rightful places and everything was still in boxes. Overwhelmed with working all day, I retired around 11:00 p.m. I put my little brother on the couch and I took his bed, since my bed wasn't put together yet. His room faces the front of the house; his window is around 20 to 25 feet or so off the ground.
     I was looking out the window when I saw "it." It stood about 7 feet tall. I had no idea what it was, but I was frozen. I had never been that scared in all my life. All I could do was lay there and just stare at this thing. It was sitting in a tree about 50 feet or so off the ground, about 50 feet from the house across the yard. It felt like an eternity. I couldn't breath; I couldn't even blink. It had big, red, bright glowing eyes looking dead into my face. I finally worked up enough courage to close my eyes and put my head under the covers, when all of a sudden this thing smacked the window.
     I went through the house screaming, "There's something outside!" I was crying. My mom and dad looked at me and said, "What's wrong with you? It looks like you have seen a ghost!" My face was snow white. I said, "I don't know what it was, but please, daddy, don't go outside." I begged and I begged. He came back in and said they was nothing out there. I kept screaming saying, "Yes, there is! Yes, there is."
     When I explained to them what I saw and how I felt, they said I was crazy, but to this day I will not go outside by myself, and even in the day someone still has to watch me to my car. I have heard of some pretty crazy things going on up on that road, but I never expected to experience anything myself. My husband and I went to the theatres and watched Mothman  Prophecies. I was reliving that night all over again. The way they described feeling and what saw was remarkable. My husband looked over at me and said, "Isn't that what you described to me when we first started dating?" I couldn't say a word. After that moment I knew what I saw. I believe in all heart of hearts I saw the Mothman. It's just a little weird. I only live about 80 miles south of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. where all that took place 37 years ago. Sedalia Flyer ~ Location. Sedalia, Missouri  Date: February 19 2001  Time: 9:30 pm    The witness was parked at a rest area northeast of town watching an airplane performing touch and go exercises. After awhile he spotted a dark object moving from the southeast towards the northwest rapidly. The object seemed to be a dark winged form or entity and appeared to be less than 1000 feet high, it quickly disappeared from sight. The witness states that he had seen a similar winged figure a couple of years ago over the same city.  Source: NUFORC   Mothman was out sensing around the area both times.

Cornwall "Owlman" IS Mothman ~ Location. Mawnan, Cornwall, England  Date: Summer 2001  Time: 8:30 pm    The witness was collecting brass rubbings from churches in the area when his work on a particular brass rubbing took him past the daylight hours. To his surprise around 8:30 pm he saw a large feathered creature of owl type shape and proportions. But this "owl" which was a tawny brown color, was standing almost 5 ft tall. He grabbed for his camera but by the time he had taken it out of his rucksack the "owl" had fled into a heavily wooded area. Mothman can be especially mistaken as Owlman in this area of the world.

Maine Flyer #1 ~ Location. Camden, Maine  Date: October 2001  Time: evening    Stevenson Fisher was walking along a deserted street when suddenly he heard a squeaking noise. Thinking it had been a mouse he looked down and around for one but did not see any. He started to walk again and then heard to sound again. Looking up, past the electrical wires he saw a large winged flying creature, with leathery wings. It swooped across the street and flew over an apartment building, turning to fly parallel past the roof. The astounded witness calculated that the creature must have had a wingspan of 24 ft, perhaps more. It then swooped into the woods behind the buildings and vanished from sight. Mothmen Paying Attention ~ Location. San Diego, California  Date: August 21 2002  Time: night
A local resident, Mr. Santiago Perez & his mother reported seeing two huge "gargoyle" like creatures flying over an alley adjacent to their home. The creatures had huge bat-like wings with a wingspan that almost covered the whole alley and their bodies were muscular and gray in color. The creatures glided slowly over the alley and then disappeared into the darkness. No other information. Source: Ovnis Baja California, Mexico  Mothmen going beyond sensing. Being watchful but not in warning mode yet.

Warnings by Mothman Duo ~ Location. Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico  Date: early January 2003  Time: 2:30 am  Delfino Garcia Zarate was at his post as security guard at the Technical Secondary school # 98 Mariano Escobedo and was making the rounds in the patio area when he heard a strong sound resembling a bird moving its wings at a very high rate of speed. Curious he looked up in the direction from which the sound originated and was able to see a hairy man-like figure with two huge dark wings. Terrified he ran into the school and hid in one of the schoolrooms until the morning.
     Around the same time a woman living in the Unidad Puerta Grande suburb was out in her back patio washing some dishes when she also heard a loud thrashing sound overhead, at first she thought it could had been an eagle and looked up but was surprised to see a hairy man-like figure floating overhead on a pair of huge wings, terrified she also ran into the house. Also around the same time in Cocolapam suburb a man and his son were repairing the TV antenna on their roof when they noticed a winged creature, gray and hairy in appearance that was approaching their location from a northerly direction, the winged humanoid glided on a pair of huge wings and quickly disappeared from sight.
    Another woman reported being awake around 3:00 am taking a shower when she looked out the bathroom window in the direction of nearby Cerro De Escamela was surprised to see a huge winged dark creature resembling some type of prehistoric being gliding slowly over the area.      A couple of Mothmen out warning people of two separate impending disasters in the area. One Mothman per event is the rule. On occasion, if an event is large enough, two mothmen could join together to warn us. We need to do some research and see what happened or was averted from happening in these areas at this time.

Mothwoman on Duty ~ Location. Valles de la Silla, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico  Date: January 16 2004  Time: 3:15 am   21-year old police officer Leonardo Samaniego Gallegos was patrolling a section of Alamo Street when he observed what appeared to be the figure of a woman totally dressed in a black cloak-like outfit descends from a 6 meter high nearby tree towards his patrol car. She appeared to float towards the car at very high speed. She had large black eyes without any pupils. Terrified he drove away from the area but was chased by the flying apparition. He called for assistance over his police radio. The strange flying creature approached the police car and impacted onto the front windshield pushing it inward, apparently trying to get in using what appeared to be large pointy claws at this point Gallegos lost consciousness. In the videotaped interview officer Gallegos describes the eyes and black gown as in the news article but adds the description of a "helmet" or headpiece it was wearing that curved downward to a point at the back of the creature's head.  Source: John Velez, Abduction Information Center quoting Newspaper sources and Santiago Yturria  
     This is a Mothwoman sighting. The last bit in this story about the creatures head is mistaken. What actually happened in this story here is that Mothwoman was trying to get the mans attention to communicate/warn about an upcoming man-made disaster.
     Mothman can sense if someone is fairly capable of getting their message, they can't however tell what the person is going to do with their presenting themselves to them. They can't predict their reaction.
     This Mothwoman was not chasing him down to catch him and do some scary monster thing to him. Instead, as she quickly approached him in his car while he was attempting to back up and away from her he suddenly stomped on his brakes preparing to turn and go the other way when she could not stop in time and hit his windshield. She put her arms and hands out in front of her to protect herself and he mistook these actions as an attempt to grab hold of him somehow.

Mothman Out Cruising ~ Newport Tennessee Date: April 5 2004  Time: 11:00 am. The witness spotted a bizarre flying creature somewhat resembling an arrowhead flying backwards, with what looked to a head or knob on the front. It didn't look mechanical; it was more like some type of animal. It did not have extended wings like a bird of any kind, but seemed to have some sort of stubby wings, which were part of the body, like a flying squirrel or some type of bat. They protruded out near the end & tapered back to a point at the rear. The creature appeared to be around 3 ft from to tail & a little over 2 ft wide at the shoulders. It was moving very fast in a straight line at an altitude of approximate 150 ft. The witness did not see a method of propulsion such as wing movement. It just seemed to be gliding, but at a high rate of speed. It maintained level flight moving west where the witness eventually lost sight of it. Mothman On Duty #1 ~ Martinez, California Date: May 16 2004  Time: Sunset  Layla Wingate, in her early twenties, was looking out of her window, her view taking in the southern sky, also giving her a view toward San Francisco. Over a Shell Oil Company refinery she watched a rusty red colored creature with bat-like wings flying in circles over the facility. She watched it for an estimated five minutes. It glided quite a bit, occasionally flapping its wings. At the end it flew off toward San Francisco. Layla said it felt evil to her, and that she hadn't seen this creature since some 13 years ago with her family in Bristol Tennessee  Source: Brent Raynes, http://www.mysterious-america.net  
     Neida says this is Mothman is sensing around the area of the refinery.  Many people take Mothman to be "evil" because of its fearsome look an ominous presence however this is a fearful bias on our part. We personally do not have anything to fear from them. This was not a red Mothman. At that time of day under those conditions the brown Mothman appeared to have a reddish tone.

On Duty Albino Mothman ~ Near Cache, Comanche County, Oklahoma  Date: January 10th 2005   Time: 8:30 pm.  Near Quanah Road two witnesses were leaving their house when they decided to check out a tree in the yard which they thought they had seen something about 2 weeks prior. The tree is located about 60 yards from the house and close to the road.
     They drove down to the tree with the bright lights on the car. As they neared the tree they saw something huge and white sitting on a branch of the tree, one witness saw the head and shoulders. The shoulders were broad and it didn't look like it had a neck. The other witness saw 2 legs dangling down. The legs were hairy and were moving. The head and shoulders were moving slightly back and forth like it was getting ready to jump down.
     One of the witnesses screamed while the other was in shock but managed to put the car in reverse and backed out of the area as fast as possible. According to the witnesses there had been other reports of people seeing something run across the road and people have heard screams coming from a nearby creek. An albino Mothman was checking out the general area. Not to warn but to make sure that everything was ok.

A Mothman Flyby ~ Washington County, Pennsylvania  Date: February 2nd 2005  Time: 4:40 pm. The driver of a car traveling in the vicinity of the toll booth entrance had her attention drawn to something huge and black in the sky. The witness watched as the object made a left turn swoop, and realized that she wasn't observing an aircraft, but instead a huge bird. The creature was all black, and the wings were estimated to be the length of a small aircraft. The witness pulled off the road and watched the strange sight for a few minutes.      Mothman doing a flyby, Not there to warn but as usual they are always sensing for changes to warn about. Where as with bats, they use sonic waves as feelers for prey. Mothman does not use sonic waves or radar but has a sort of psychic radar.

Youthful Curiosity ~ San Marcos, California  Date: July 6th 2005  Time: 11:30 pm.  After a long day the witness had gone outside to his covered driveway for a smoke and look at the night sky. The witness looked towards the north and thought about his recent (saucer) sighting wondering what it was all about.
     In the near distance, at no more than a couple of hundred feet he saw a faintly visible moving object that flitted from side to side. Whatever it was it reflected light from the streetlights. Its side to side movement was so quick initially he couldn't tell if it was one object or two. The object then zipped directly over his neighbor's house across the street. It continued to move side to side in a space of approximately 50 feet. It then stopped and the witness was able to observe it more clearly.
     The object was a humanoid with large eyes and wing-like appendages. It was probably 2 to 3 feet in width. It remained still and he could see wavering reflections from its "wings". They were not beating like a bird, but showed shimmering reflections from the streetlights. The witness felt the hair on his head rise all the way down his back to his ankles.
     It appeared to be watching the witness as he smoked his cigarette. The witness felt threatened and then said out loud, "I see you!" Then the flying figure went from stationary to out of sight right over the witness head in an instant. He then came out from under his covered carport and turned to follow its movement. Immediately it zipped into view directly above his head, obviously studying the witness who could see really large and intensely dark "eyes".
     It seemed surprised by the witness looking right at it. It did not appear to like being seen. The witnesses apprehension rose even higher. The creature then turned away and disappeared like a shot. It had a birdlike shape, but was thicker. The witness insists that it wasn't a bird, bat or any familiar nocturnal creature and has never seen anything like that before. A curious young Mothman becoming familiar with his world and those in it, checks out an equally curious human.

Mothman Intercession ~ Santa Catarina, Monterrey, Mexico - On the evening of March 2006 A policeman, Gerardo Garza Carbajal was on guard duty on a road near the Panteon Municipal (Municipal Pantheon) when suddenly someone started pelting him stones. He then saw two "people" with wings and "wrinkled faces". Terrified he ran into his squad car. In the meantime he could hear the entities laughing in "a weird way" as they flew a short distance from him. "I thought they were witches---I saw them very close," said the veteran police officer. Gerardo immediately requested back up and in a matter of minutes was surrounded by several municipal police cars and even some from the Ministerial police. "The witches flew off, but the police officers who came to my aid saw what I saw." Said the terrified officer, who swears he had never seen anything like it in his life. He was subsequently taken to a medical center as his blood pressure had dropped excessively. He did soon recover from the shocking experience.
     This officer and some of his other fellow officers were protected in this case from going into a dangerous area, a drug smuggling transfer point had been set up and their security was heavy. Had this officer or some of his fellows (he might call in to assist) proceeded down a particular road they would have been blown away.
     As a rule the Mothmen don't get this "personally" involved with people. Protecting them so specifically but some of these officers still had important things to accomplish in this life that made this interceding more paramount. His being pelted with the stones was to get his attention of course. The entities seeming laughing was just a "bit" to keep the officers attention.

Meditating Mothman ~ Mid Nov. 2006  San Nicolas de los Garza, Monterey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico Sighting Time: 3:15 pm. A local, resident after hearing noises outside, saw a bizarre entity floating above the branch of a nearby tree. At first it resembled a man standing on top of the branch; however the witness soon noticed that it was actually hovering in midair. It resembled a very tall man-like figure, dark in color. He did not see any wings on the figure, which appeared thin and seemed to be covered in a "dark cape" he didn't see any arms on the figure. Afraid, he ran inside the house and woke his wife telling her what he had seen. However when he went out again the figure had disappeared.  Mothman had his wings shrouding him Thus he looked compact in profile. This event did not have to do with the observer. Mothman was just floating along, sensing things in the area, not necessarily about humans. He did at one point notice the human noticing him and so when he went inside, Mothman left.

Collaboration I ~ Location. Miami Lakes, Florida  Date: January 1 2007  Time: 4:30 pm
On a clear and beautiful sunny day while outside barbecuing the witnesses looked up to see a round black object with a silvery lining floating above their house. It floated for about 10-15 minutes and then slowly went up into the clouds and disappeared. Five minutes later another object appeared, this one was first round and silver, but suddenly changed into a tube shape, gold in color, it then went back to being round and silver with four round spinning objects around its circumference. The object kept changing back and forth and sat there for about 10 minutes. Neither one of the objects ever made a sound. Suddenly several military jets began going over the house and the object floated up and disappeared in plain sight. Soon after that the witnesses spotted a black object dropping straight down from the sky into a field across the street. It came down really fast and sort of resembled the figure of a man parachuting, but without an actual parachute. It looked like a tall black figure with two legs, but the upper body was indistinct. The witness then apparently lost sight of the figure. Military jets continued to fly around for about half an hour and then left.   Source: NUFORC   ET's getting harassed by our military instead go back up.  Mothman was shriveling the area anyways when they asked him to check the area for them which he immediately did. The ET's just wanted to make sure that everything in the area was ok. As we've said many times before Earth is under close scrutiny due to its particular importance overall as well as at this time.

Curious Adult Mothman was her "Huge Flying Creature"  by Nikki  Jan 2007  My grandmother, I call her Mimi, told me something that boggled my mind. I wanted to share it on this website, because if anyone ever saw anything like what Mimi told me about then I'd really like to know, because I don't know what it could have been.
     Mimi lives in a big, brick house with a fenced-in yard, and right across the street from her house is the park. To give a brief description, the park is actually a woodsy hill filled with trees, and there's a pathway leading up to swings and stuff up at the top of it, but from the bottom the trees are too tall to see up the hill. People usually just use the walking track situated beside the hill though.
     It was early in the morning, around the time before dawn that looks like the twilight, and she was letting her three dogs outside. She was standing inside at the door watching the dogs, and she noticed that they were looking toward the park, so she went outside onto the patio and looked. What she saw she said terrified her.
     It was some dark figure flying out from over the trees. It was huge, though. She said its wing span was about 20-25 feet and it was gliding, descending down toward the yard. As it got closer, she was shocked because she realized that it wasn't the distance that made it look big, it was really that huge, and her immediate response was to call the dogs in as fast as she could because the size of this "thing" could have easily taken one of them. When she put them inside she turned back around to see where it was, but it was gone. She quickly went back inside.
     When she related this to me and my uncle (her son), we were kind of stunned, and at first I thought that it was maybe a vulture or a hawk since it was gliding, but I know that they're not that big. My uncle suggested that it was a turkey, but they're not that big either. The only animal I thought it could have been was an eagle, but we don' t have them around here, and even eagles aren't THAT big! I don't know what it was. But Mimi was very shaken up about it and when she told us I could tell that she was disturbed by it, and the fact that she couldn't say exactly what it was scared her. She can only describe it as a dark, extremely huge flying creature.
     She said that she thinks it was the Mothman. As crazy as that sounds, she is not one to lie. She tells the truth, and just by the way she was so worked up over it, I know that it was definitely something strange. I'm not saying it was the Mothman for sure, but it's nothing like I've ever heard of. Source: about.com  Mothman felt/sensed something about this ladies energy intrigued him. He was not after the dogs. He was just curious about her unusual and striking consciousness, he forgot that his looks could frighten her and so when she started pulling away he just left.

Collaboration II ~ Location. Kannapolis, North Carolina  Date: January 20 2007  Time: 8:30 pm    The witnesses spotted two rectangular-shaped objects that had a reddish light resembling a spotlight. The objects were totally silent and flew at about 200m in the air. While the witnesses watched seven more similar objects appeared and seconds later they saw a human-like figure wearing what appeared to be a long black coat hovering near the objects.  Source: NUFORC  In this case the ET's were giving information to Mothman. They are collaborating.  More of these and other collaborations will continue and increase.

Recently reports from the Russian newspaper Pravda state that Chinese newspapers have chronicled an event in which several people were purportedly warned of the imminent crash of one of China Northern's MD-82 aircrafts. The warnings were said to have come from a large, dark, man-like creature with wings. These reports have yet to be confirmed.

There is a small group of them (less than 10) that directly serves the human race. The larger group of them does not.

Does Mothman
have a gender?
Yes, but not all are of one gender. The Mothman species is has males and females and like other creatures they procreate through sex. 

If, in an area it gets to where there is only one gender in the region, a group of  the one remaining gender will genetically transform into the absent gender thus providing for procreation and the continuation of
their species.  Science today recognizes a few animals on this planet that do the same so this is not a phenomena that's unheard of

Do Mothmen have a "territory" they cover?
They don't claim or hold territories, they cover incidents. As a rule it is one per event however if an event is big enough two will work it. Sometimes they will also consult with each other.

Does Mothman
have feathers?  
No, they have short hair
that covers their bodies: one quarter to two inches long. As to their wings read the second paragraph below.

As far as their wings go relative to flight: they have wings they can use but they don't require them to travel.
They can fly/move as fast
as they want to. If they wish, they can teleport themselves anywhere on earth in an instant. The consciousness can instantly materialize or dematerialize itself. Humans have done this before too,  and many, many more will yet again.

What about
Mothmans wings?
As mentioned above, their wings have no feathers. In design they are much like a bats but theirs is more like a hairy skin membrane. Their arms are a part of their wings, not separate. They are attached at the wrist and down to arm pit. Instead of the claw you see in various pictures that try to depict Mothman and, as bats have, Mothman actually has a hand with
five fingers.

Do they have
 a "head" persey?
Yes but, where as ours sits atop a neck, giving us an ability to turn our heads quite a bit, Mothman has no neck and so its head rests directly upon its shoulders thus, it looks like the head is almost inset on to the body in comparison  to us. Because of this they can only turn their heads slightly till it touches their shoulders. Mothmen and women do not have "antennea" like an insect.

 Mothman's size:
Think of terms of how big the basketball player Shaquille O'Neill is, only a bit taller. All Mothmen are  large and muscular.
The women though big compared to us, are still smaller than the male Mothmen.

The Face of Mothman
is rather strongly insect like. On a 10 scale with 10 being totally insect like Mothman would be a 5.

Coloration wise,
what is Mothman?
There is a good variety of coloration to the race. Their color isn't necessarily even one color. We have not run across any reports of "red" haired ones. The main colors we find on these beings is black, brown and grey or some combination thereof. We have also come acrossed a couple of albino  or "white" Mothmen.

In America, Mothman is mostly a phenomenon of the East Coast and eastern half of the continent. Mothman though has been reported in eight other countries other than the U.S.

 Mothman is connected to the energy and consciousness of the planet and, the humans in their region. The peoples mentality, in the areas where they do their work tends to be rather "simple". For in- stance, their closeness to nature is not derived from a high state of consciousness and a deep spiritual connection to nature but because they just like
living close to nature. 

 In the Nov. 1966 West Virgina series of sightings Mothman found a young woman whom he believed he could communicate with, he just did not know to what degree. That's why she saw him several times. He had a communication to make to her that was for the community at large. Still, her mind was not ready to accept this. He allowed others to see him also so that the public might take him seriously and wake up and ask questions, particularly about the bridge. He wanted them to question what they thought they knew and believed for instance. This could lead them to realizing his communication.

 How long has this Being (it is biological) been around?  Mothman, while a biological figure does, like everything else, originate in the psychic realm. They lived a physical existence in another dimension. They started showing up here physically  soon after the beginning of the Industrial age and it is their purpose while here to warn of pending man-made disasters that can still be avoided if we wake up
to the warnings given.

 What ways do they
use to warn us?
 They use telepathy, dreams, objects (phones), thought form projections and sightings to warn off people.
Their warnings start in our dreams as an omen visual or otherwise, of ill events to come, no "monster" involved. If that does not work they will use something or a thought form projection of a person or the voice of a person they are trying to  contact will feel comfortable with, like the image and or voice of another person
that this person knows or respects that they would likely listen to. Then, the next stage will be even more direct like their physical presence right in front of us.

When you, the Spirit have tried other avenuess to wake people up to one thing or another and it has not worked, you try something more intense and more immediate, like fear. A scary monster can certainly get your attention. Spirit knocks on the door of someone's conscousness lightly at first but if they don't hear it and come to the door you, the Spirit has to knock harder or in some other manner do something to get the
peoples attention.

 Is there a Mothman
UFO Connection?  
 Yes, we don't know just how long they have had an affilitation but we do know they have one. The ET's have their own purposes and agendas in being here. Often it is to monitor the status of things here on Earth, whether that has to do with the animals, the earth itself (such as the air, water or ground) or us humans. Sometimes Mothman is able to aid them in something they are doing and sometimes the ET's are able to give him or her information they seek. Cooperation amongst the races is the rule rather than the exception for beings beyond Earth. The ET's are usually from another planet in our dimension. Mothman is a being based in another dimension, some of whom work here with us.

 What about the so-called
"Mothman Curse"?
There is no curse associated with Mothma and they themselves are not the result of a curse. In the case of the Point Pleasant West Virginia event, Mothman gave the people of the area 13 months in which to pick up on the message he brought and represented, that being a warning about the eminent bridge collapse. This talk of a curse is exactly what we are referring to when we say that the minds of most people in the areas where the disasters occur are rather simplistic in nature. They are not spiritually adept. Were they, then Mothman would not be needed to fill in for their
lack of psychic and
spiritual development.

From our psychical research and more recently identified cases we also know that
Mothman can and occasionally does interact with us humans in a more personal way, getting right up in our face if it takes that.

Mothman will on occasion stand in the way to stop someone from being caught up in a disaster if it is not their time to go and it is important that they continue to be here physically.

We now know that they spend much time in reconnisance mode, cruising areas aerially, sensing the "condition" of things with a sort of "psychic radar"  with which they can sense the conditions of things around them and locate things to warn about.

As humans reclaim their own psychic abilities they will be able to provide their own warnings via psychic premonitions , a form of intuition where you see or sense future events. This is why Mothman shows up in some areas and not others. It is related to the consciousness of the people. Without good psychic sense, they need to be warned by some folk who do. Currently, in our case, this is Mothman.

We have NOTHING TO FEAR relative to Mothman.
